Based in Southern California, McGee Landscape Architecture views every client as an individual, from the initial interview to final walk through.  We’ve worked with our clients to tailor the design services that best fit their needs since our founding in early 2007.

For every project that McGee Landscape Architecture is involved with, we bring a unique perspective to the client and design team.  We bring a balance of design aesthetics, client budget concerns, and project functionality that insures a project’s success.

About John H. McGee, Jr. (Principal)

John graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in landscape architecture in 1995 and has been working in the field since then.  He designed in Germany for a year, and has worked in San Diego since 1997 on a variety of projects with local firms.  John is licensed in California and Arizona along with holding National Certification with the Council of Landscape Architecture Registration Boards.  He recently completed his tenure as the ‘07-’08 Vice-President of Educational Programs for the San Diego Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA).

From high-rise condominium towers to single-family homes to public works projects, Mr. McGee has designed, managed and provided site observation for projects around Southern California.  His experience includes design of hardscape, planting and irrigation, detailing, construction documents, presentations, design team meetings and coordination, cost estimates, and construction observation.
